The Goethe-Institut is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany. For more than 50 years we have fostered the knowledge of German and intercultural exchanges around the world. We offer German courses at every level all year round along with optimal preparation for our internationally recognised examinations. Our individual consultation and service will ensure your success. All courses include an extensive cultural and leisure-time programme, accommodation booking services and free access to our self-learning centres.
Mannheim and Heidelberg are situated in the centre of the 'Rhine-Neckar-triangle'. The region's character is decisively influenced by wide-ranging educational facilities, including numerous colleges, universities and research centres. It is also home to world-class companies and
boasts strong traditions in vocational training. Mannheim delivers everything expected from a modern, many-faceted city while retaining a manageable scale and local charm. The institute is in the 'green' neighbourhood of Neckarau, and has good links to the city centre and the ICE railway station. The close cooperation with Mannheim University and other universities in the region creates ideal conditions for the institute's focus on courses to prepare for university studies. On request the institute will arrange internships with companies or cultural bodies. Most participants stay in single rooms in student hostels near the institute.
