‘The FL Forum is one of the main events in the Greek ELT calendar. Attended by 1500 professionals, it provides participants the opportunity to meet fellow professionals, exchange ideas, inspect new books at the exhibition area and get informed on current developments through a two day programme full of professional and commercial presentations.’

QLS’ successful participation in three locally hosted events, was sponsored by Eaquals and supported through professional and commercial presentations of QLS members. The three events QLS participated in, were the following:

The 10th ELT forum in Athens on 11-12 March featuring well known speakers such as Russell Stannard, together with well-organised workshops.

QLS’ presence was strengthened by the talk of one of our members, Dionyssis Petropoulos, who started off his presentation by introducing Eaquals and continued by discussing how to best recruit the most appropriate employees for an organisation.

TESOL Greece 38th Annual Convention 18-19 March has always been a well- attended event with a good mix of local and international speakers and concurrent presentations throughout. “Keeping it practical” was the theme of this year’s Convention.

Participants had also the opportunity to attend a professional presentation by Asimenia Featham, the QLS chair, on the role of Debates with the title “Mind against Mind-Debates: The ultimate challenge for FL Learners”. The second day a commercial presentation was delivered by Georgia Papas and Panagiota Bourtsoukli on “QLS: Celebrating 15 years of Excellence” Our speakers acknowledged Eaquals’ contribution during the opening and informed the audience about it.

The 10th ELT Forum 9-10 April was held in Thessaloniki where school owners, teachers and publishers met to attend interesting talks, broaden their horizons and get acquainted with the latest news in FL education. QLS presented its past and future projects through synergy and strong Academic partnerships.

Hundreds of participants attended the events since they are the most important ones held for educators and school owners in Greece. To sum up, the Eaquals’ initiative to fund regional events has formed stronger ties with its associate members raising their profile in the local market and increasing their membership since they guarantee further opportunities for future developments.
