The Language Portfolio concept was developed to stimulate and support the learning of languages. It helps students to reflect on and improve their language learning, and to demonstrate their knowledge to others. It is based on the levels described in the Common European Framework of Reference.
The EAQUALS-ALTE electronic Language Portfolio was developed in partnership with the Association of Language Testers in Europe. Based on an earlier paper edition which was published in 13 languages, it was the first eELP to be accredited by the Council of Europe. It contains the linguistic passport component of EUROPASS and is intended for learners over 14 years of age.
The eELP can be downloaded in English or French at www.eELP.org
