Effective language learning requires ongoing support that extends beyond the classroom. Structured guidance in out-of-class learning environments plays a significant role in developing learner proficiency by offering meaningful and contextualized opportunities for language use. Co-curricular projects are among the most impactful ways to provide this support. When grounded in sound instructional design and informed by a range of pedagogical strategies, such projects can effectively respond to the diverse needs, interests, and learning preferences of language learners. In this context, this webinar will present a co-curricular project that enhances language learning beyond the classroom through the arts integration approach grounded in creative pedagogy. It will outline how instructional design principles were applied to align artistic expression with language learning goals, offering learners creative, meaningful, and multimodal opportunities to develop language proficiency. Finally, reflections from the educator, who served as both designer and facilitator, alongside learner feedback will be shared to provide attendees with theoretically informed, practical strategies they can adapt and apply in developing arts-based co-curricular initiatives within their own educational contexts.
