Alex Warren  is a DELTA trained teacher trainer with over 16 years’ experience in ELT as a teacher, academic director and teacher trainer, working for National Geographic Learning.

Ania Kolbuszewska has worked internationally as a trainer, manager, educational consultant, and a conflict management specialist.

A former Eaquals Board member and Director of Eaquals Accreditation and Consultancy Services, she continues to work as an inspector for Eaquals.

Arum Perwitasari

Arum Perwitasari

Arum Perwitasari holds a PhD in Linguistics from Leiden University and works as an Academic Relations Specialist at ETS Global, Netherlands. Her research interest includes speech recognition, second language acquisition and bilingualism. Arum is an experienced educator and a certified trainer for the TOEFL iBT® and Young Students Series workshops.

Beccy Wigglesworth is Director of Member Services and Client Experience with International House World Organisation, and leads the quality inspection scheme for AQUEDUTO – the Association for Quality Education and Training Online.

Emma Heyderman

Emma Heyderman

Emma Heyderman is the Director of Education at Lacunza – International House, a large language school in the north of Spain. She is also an inspector for both Eaquals and IHWO. Faced with the strict Spanish lockdown in March 2020, Lacunza had to react quickly and move the school completely online (teaching, testing, management and administration). Then to meet the challenges of the ‘new normal’ from July, their school is now F2F, online and a mix of both (‘hybrid’).

Gillian Davidson is Academic Director of EC English, she taught in Slovakia, Indonesia, Russia and the UK as a teacher and a manager. She is a member of the Product Development team for EC English.

As a school director Julie Wallis manages a permanent staff of 25 with a management team. I have extensive experience in leadership and management and have delivered workshops for Eaquals, AISLi, NILE, Pilgrims and Bell.

Justin Quinn is the Chair of Eaquals and the CEO of Centre of English Studies.
CES has schools in the UK, Ireland, Taiwan and Canada.

Klaudia Bednarova

Klaudia Bednarova

Klaudia graduated from the Faculty of Education, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Department of English Language and Literature – Education. In 2009 she founded a private language school the Bridge – English Language Centre. She has been one of the founding members of the Slovak Chamber of English Language Teachers and the Slovak Association of Language Schools. She is a chairwoman of the Slovak Chamber of English Language Teachers and she has been a chairwoman of the latter in 2011 – 2016. Klaudia is passionate about teacher training, she established and runs projects such as Eltforum.sk and the Bridge re-boot camp for teachers. Her passion and professional interested is in effective learning strategies, which she understands as a broad and complex topic. Klaudia believes that there is no ultimately correct answer, but it is eclectic and holistic approach that can help us to be more effective teachers and learners.

Martyn has managed project education projects around the world, a chain of language schools in the UK, and is a tutor on the NILE/EAQUALS Certificate in Management Language Education Course.

Graduate of METU FLE Department and Bilkent University Master on Management in Education, completed Cambridge University DTEFLA and ADEM Diploma Programmes. Worked at Bilkent University School of English Language for 15 years in different roles and has been working as the director of the Ozyegin University School of Languages since 2010.

Peter Brown

Peter Brown is a teacher and the Founder Chair of Eaquals. He is the co-founder of AISLi, the Italian quality association of language schools, and co-wrote the Council of Europe’s Guide to Quality in Language Education with Frank Heyworth.

Phil Longwell

Phil Longwell

Phil currently works as an non-accredited tutor and Educational Technology trainer with Adult Learning (Norfolk County Council). He has a passion for training using learning technologies and discussing the mental health of language teachers. He is the current webmaster for the IATEFL LTSIG.

Sarah Mercer

Sarah Mercer

Sarah Mercer is Professor of Foreign Language Teaching at the University of Graz, Austria, where she is Head of ELT methodology. Her research interests include all aspects of psychology surrounding the foreign language learning experience. She is the author, co-author and co-editor of several books in this area. In 2018, she was awarded the Robert C Gardner Award for excellence in second language research by the International Association of Language and Social Psychology (IALSP).

Selen Şirin, one of the team leaders in the Preparatory English Program at Özyeğin University, received her BA&MA in ELT. She is also a DELTA holder, and a CELTA Trainer.

Serkan Aras, the Undergraduate English Program Coordinator at Özyeğin University, received his BA&MA in ELT and his PhD in Gender Studies. He is a DELTA holder, a CELTA Trainer, and an IATEFL TDSIG committee member.

Sophia Mavridi

Sophia Mavridi

Sophia Mavridi is a digital learning specialist and lecturer in English Language Teaching at De Montfort University in Leicester, UK. Her research focuses on online learning and the increasingly important role of digital literacies in education. She has trained for major organisations such as the British Council and she is a regular keynote speaker at international conferences. Sophia is the joint-coordinator of the IATEFL Learning Technologies SIG; her latest co-edited volumes are ‘English for 21st Century Skills’ (Express Publishing, 2020) and ‘Digital Innovations and Research in Language Learning’ (IATEFL, 2020), both of which reflect her keen interest in innovative pedagogies in language education.
