Chia Suan Chong

Chia Suan Chong is a writer, communication skills trainer and teacher trainer. She’s the author of Successful International Communication and is currently working on an adult course series with National Geographic Learning.

Chris Farrell

Chris Farrell is Head of Training and Development at Centre of English Studies. He is a member of the Eaquals Board of Trustees and Chairs the EUK PD Advisory Group. Chris has collaborated with organizations such as NILE, OUP, Cengage, Trinity College London, and UCD. Chris has a particular interest in the field of Organisational Learning and Development.

Christopher Graham

Christopher Graham, a consultant and writer, has worked in ELT since 1981 in over 30 countries. He is one of the founders of ELT Footprint, a 2020 ELTon winner.

Duncan Foord

Duncan Foord is lead trainer on the OxfordTEFL Leadership in ELT course. He is the Director of OxfordTEFL and Oxford House, Barcelona and has 35 years’ experience in language teaching, teacher training and school leadership and management. His publications include: “From English Teacher to Learner Coach” with Dan Barber (The Round, 2014) and The Developing Teacher (Delta, 2009).

George Pickering

George is an educational coach, trainer and consultant, who has worked in over 65 different countries. He is the academicdirector of the English UK Diploma in English Language Teaching Management and is a senior inspector for Accreditation UK. He was the founding director of the Bell Teacher Campus in Cambridge, was a director of IATEFL for 12 years and is currentlyan ambassador for them.

Jacqueline Einer

English language teacher for 29 years; series editor and a co-author of the Beyond the Boundaries course book series; helped develop the English of Maths and Science strand at SL.

Joanne Mitten

Joanne Mitten has worked in both the UK Post Primary Sector and the English Language Teaching sector as a teacher, materials writer, academic manager and HR manager since 2009.  As part of her role as HR and QA Manager with ATC Language Schools, Joanne is responsible for the management of the safe return to schools and the welfare of staff during the current COVID-19 crisis, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and high academic standards.

Joseph Baker

Joseph Baker is a DELTA qualified teacher, currently Director of Studies at IH Manchester. He began his career in ELT in 2012 and joined IH Manchester in 2014 as a teacher. Here is helps oversee the English language teaching department including course development and continuous professional development.

Kaan Kağnıcıoğlu

Born in 2002, 18 years old. Living in Turkey, Eskişehir. Graduated from Highschool last year. Currently studying at Ozyegin University, prep student. Will be studying Electric-Electronic Engineering next year. 

Lou McLaughlin

Executive Director, Eaquals

Lou is the Executive Director of Eaquals. She was one of the founding members of ELT Ireland, and served on the IATEFL Board of Trustees as the Associates Representative until 2021. Lou holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics, Masters in ELT, DELTA, TESOL Cert. in Leadership & Management and Trinity TESOL Cert. Her special interests are Young Learner teacher training, teacher cognition and management in ELT and she was the co-editor of Children Learning English: From Research to Practice (2015).

Ludka Kotarska

Ludka Kotarska was the Director of Eaquals Accreditation and Consultancy between 2016 – 2022. She was responsible for the management of Eaquals accreditation services, the development of the Inspection Scheme and for advising and supporting language centres that apply to become accredited members of Eaquals.      

Mark Rendell

Mark Rendell is CEO of IH London and Vice Chair of English UK. He used to travel the world but now he spends a lot of time at home in South London. 

Nergis Uyan

Nergis Uyan graduated from the Middle East Technical University’s Foreign Language Education Department and she received her MA in Management in Education from Bilkent University. She completed Cambridge University DTEFLA (Diploma in Teaching of English as a Foreign Language to Adults) and Bilkent University ADEM (Advanced Diploma in English Language Teaching Management).

She worked in several positions at Bilkent University School of English Language (BUSEL) including English Language Instructor, Head of Teaching Unit, Teacher Development Coordinator, Teacher Trainer and Member of BUSEL Directorate. She has been working as the director of the Ozyegin University School of Languages (ScOLa) since February 2010. Nergis Uyan has been working in Eaquals (European Association for Quality Language Services) initial and re-accreditation process of Özyeğin School of Languages (PREP Program, Undergraduate English Program and Modern Languages Program) since 2016. She has also joined the EQUALS Board as a trustee in 2018 April.

Omar Aguilar

Paola Thiella

Following a masters at Oxford University, I started teaching at The London School. I am passionate about music and love seeing how rhythm can aid English learners of all ages.

Peter Brown

Peter Brown is a teacher and the Founder Chair of Eaquals. He is the co-founder of AISLi, the Italian quality association of language schools, and co-wrote the Council of Europe’s Guide to Quality in Language Education with Frank Heyworth.

Russell Stannard

Russell Stannard is a multi award-winning Educational Technologist and founder of www.teachertrainingvideos.com. He received awards from the British Council ELTONS, the Times Higher and the University of Westminster for his work in the use of ICT in education. He is especially known for his  work in using technology to enhance feedback, teaching online and blended/flipped learning. Russell was previously a Principal Educational Technologist at the University of Warwick and the University of Westminster. He currently works as a consultant on educational technology at Kings College University London and as an associate trainer at NILE. where he teachers on the MA programme and runs courses in blended/flipped learning. He has more than 59,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and 11,000 subscribers on his popular newsletter.

Selma Tamdogan Calıskan

Selma Tamdoğan Çalışkan has been working as an EAP instructor at Özyeğin University and has an experience of 15 years in language teaching. Her main areas of interest include educational technology, learner-centered teaching, and instructional design.

Silvana Richardson

Silvana Richardson is Head of Teacher Development at Bell, Academic Director of Bell Teacher Campus and Programme Quality Manager at The Bell Foundation. She has over 30 years of experience working in the EFL, ESOL, EAL and MFL fields in various roles- teacher, teacher trainer, academic manager, trainer trainer, quality assurance inspector, consultant, writer, speaker at international conferences.
