‘The man that hath no music in himself….is fit for treasons’ says Lorenzo to his sweetheart in The Merchant of Venice, one of Shakespeare’s best-known plays. There is music everywhere in those plays; sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s bitter, sometimes it’s sad, sometimes it’s bawdy….but it’s always fun! In this entertaining one-man show Jeremy Harmer will tell stories from the plays, sing his own arrangements of Shakespeare songs – and include a few songs not by Shakespeare at all.
