Robert Hanley
Robert Hanley is an independent educational consultant specialising in technology-enhanced and game-based learning, including hybrid, blended and virtual modalities.
As part of his remit as head of Quality Assurance and Training for Atlantic Language Ireland, Robert developed and implemented a hybrid learning programme designed around Communicative Language Teaching, encompassing classroom and programme design, teaching and support team training, and ongoing student-centred quality assurance engagement.
Robert has led and contributed to strategic international projects focused on development of technology-enhanced learning and actively researches better ways to use digital tools smartly to benefit learner engagement. Over the past two years, Robert applied his experience and expertise in educational technology, as an award winning language learning tool developer, to equip language schools to continue operating and delivering classes utilising digital resources and channels, operating within a wide spectrum of enrolment numbers, available budgets and inhouse expertise.
Robert currently provides holistic training and consultancy services to enable language schools to digitise their programmes, and reach learners previously difficult to access. He applies a ‘hands on’ approach to training, enabling a discovery-based approach which encourages clients to take ownership of the targetted competencies and develop and refine their product independently.
