Italian Language Added to European Profiling Grid

In light of widespread Italian interest in the European Profiling Grid (EPG), Eaquals has recently organised the addition of Italian to the four other languages (English, French, German and Spanish) in which the interactive e-Grid is available. This new facility can be found here.

On 1st and 2nd March Richard Rossner participated in the Università per Stranieri di Siena’s 12th meeting of DITALS trainers and administrators, at which the new feature of the e-Grid was demonstrated. DITALS is one of very few suites of courses and qualifications available to teachers of Italian as a foreign or second language. His contribution focused mainly on the ECML project that has prepared a guide to many existing competence frameworks for teachers and is working on the feasibility of a common framework for teachers of language and the use of languages by teachers.
