It’s always a proud moment for our community when we welcome an institution that “lives” the values of quality assurance. Today, we are delighted to officially introduce the School of Foreign Languages at Kadir Has University as the newest accredited member of Eaquals.

Since its founding in 1997, Kadir Has University has been an active part of Istanbul’s academic landscape. Today, what stands out, is the intentional way they approach language education through their School of Foreign Languages.

When we asked Gürsel Kahraman, Director of the SFL at Kadir Has why they chose to pursue Eaquals

 accreditation, his answer resonated deeply with our mission. They weren’t looking for a “badge” to hang on a wall. Instead, they wanted a framework that aligned with CEFR principles and the specific realities of higher education.

“The accreditation process offered a structured opportunity to reflect on existing practices, consolidate strengths, and identify areas for further development,” he shared.

For them, accreditation is a reference point, a guide that helps align programmes and strengthens internal reviews.
