KEA Awards for Innovative Educators

KEA Awards: Celebrating Innovative Educators

The KEA Awards, organised by Eaquals-accredited member, Glossomatheia, recognise educators and university students who promote innovative, critical and learner-centred approaches to language education.

The awards run annually and provide an opportunity to present and share educational work within a professional academic setting.

Award Categories

There are three categories:

  1. Undergraduate

  2. Postgraduate (Master’s and PhD)

  3. Teaching Practice

Four monetary awards are granted each year through the Angelos Davos Innovation Fund.

Who Should Apply?

You may wish to apply if you:

  • Are a university student at any level

  • Are a teacher piloting a new educational project

  • Are conducting action research in your classroom

If you have written an article, designed a project, or conducted research that promotes a learner-centred, innovative, holistic or critical approach to language education, your work is eligible for submission.

The Selection Process

The evaluation process is double blind. Applicants do not know the identities of the committee members, and committee members do not know the identities of applicants.

The judging panel consists of Glossomatheia educators and academic partners with relevant expertise aligned to the award criteria.

Submissions are assessed solely on the quality and relevance of the work presented.

If You Are Shortlisted

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to present their educational project at the KEA Awards Forum.

This provides an opportunity to:

  • Share your work with peers

  • Engage in professional dialogue

  • Connect with colleagues who share similar interests

Winners are selected following the Forum presentations.

Why Consider Applying?

The Awards offer professional visibility within a community of educators committed to innovation in language education. They aim to support educators who are prepared to question, experiment and contribute to the development of the field.
