Digital Tourism Education Conference 2026
QUEST, The Romanian Association for Quality Language Services, an Eaquals Associate Member, is organising the international conference “Bridging Worlds: Digital Competence and Language Education for Sustainable Tourism” which is being supported through the Eaquals Member Event Fund.
The conference will take place on 20–21 March 2026 in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join online or in person.
Conference dates
• 20 March 2026 – Online
• 21 March 2026 – Cluj-Napoca, Romania
The event is co-organised by Transilvanian Educational Services and Tourism, Asociația Bridge Language Study House, and QUEST – The Romanian Association for Quality Language Services.
Language Education and Sustainable Tourism
The conference will explore how language education and digital competence can support the development of sustainable tourism.
It is organised within the framework of two Erasmus+ partnerships:
• Digi-Tour-Skills
• English for Tourism
Both projects are co-financed by the European Union and aim to strengthen communication and training in the tourism sector.
The event will bring together:
• language educators and trainers
• researchers
• tourism professionals
• organisations involved in Erasmus+ projects
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss how digital skills, language training, and tourism communication can work together to meet the sector’s evolving needs.

• Best practice sharing
• International networking opportunities
The event aims to create dialogue between language education professionals and the tourism sector, highlighting innovative approaches to training and communication.
Call for Presentations
Organisations are invited to contribute to the conference programme.
The organisers welcome proposals presenting:
• Erasmus+ projects
• national or international initiatives
• innovative approaches related to digital competence, language education, and sustainable tourism
This is an opportunity to share expertise, showcase projects, and connect with professionals working on similar challenges across Europe.

Participation in the conference is free of charge. However, places are limited and registration may close early once capacity is reached.
