Quality Culture ELT Event Ankara | Gazi University

Quality Culture in Higher Education ELT

Gazi University College of Foreign Languages is organising a special academic event titled “Quality Culture in Higher Education Language Teaching: Preparing the Next Generations of ESLEs”. The event is supported by the Eaquals Member Event Fund.

The event will take place on 30 April 2026 at the Golbasi Campus in Ankara. It is designed for both pre-service and in-service English Language Teaching (ELT) professionals. In particular, it targets those who want to strengthen their academic, pedagogical, and institutional skills in higher education.

The programme offers a rich and engaging experience. First, participants will attend keynote talks by experts in the field. In addition, they will join panel discussions on key topics such as quality assurance, academic management, and reflective teaching practices. As a result, attendees will gain both practical insights and new perspectives.

Participants will also benefit from several opportunities. For example, they can develop their awareness of quality standards in higher education. Moreover, they can engage with academics and connect with fellow ELT professionals. They will also exchange ideas, experiences, and best practices in a collaborative setting.

All participants will receive a certificate of participation. In addition, pre-service ELT teachers travelling from outside Ankara can receive travel and accommodation support. This makes the event more accessible to those at the start of their careers.

Overall, this event offers a valuable opportunity to learn, connect, and grow within the ELT community. Colleagues across the field are encouraged to take part and contribute to the discussion on quality in higher education language teaching.
