Established in 2003, the Language Centre applies an inclusive, evidence-informed approach to language education.

Its philosophy is simple but powerful: language learning should create opportunities.

Today, the Centre offers courses in nine languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Russian, Chinese and Cypriot Sign Language, all aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Alongside general language courses, learners can also access academic language programmes, language for specific purposes, examination preparation courses and tailor-made language training for organisations.

Every course is underpinned by a learner-centred approach that encourages multilingualism, intercultural understanding and lifelong learning.

Alongside this, the Centre organises conferences, lectures, workshops and Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), creating opportunities for educators and learners to exchange ideas, build new partnerships and continue learning together.
