Terakki Celebrates 10 Years with Eaquals

We’re always proud to witness the ongoing growth and development of our members. Terakki’s recent milestone is an example of what long-term commitment to Eaquals accreditation can achieve.

At both campuses of Terakki Foundation Schools, the Foreign Languages Department celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Eaquals (Evaluation and Accreditation of Quality Language Services) accreditation. This recognition symbolises a decade of high standards in language education within a K–12 setting.

The events took place on 16th April at the Levent Campus and on 14th May at the Tepeören Campus. Each celebration was held in the foyer of the school’s Culture Center, bringing staff and students together.

Terakki became the first K–12 school in Istanbul to achieve Eaquals accreditation back in 2015. Since then, it has successfully renewed its status through three additional inspections. This consistency reflects a deep-rooted dedication to educational quality and ongoing development.

To mark the occasion, Eaquals Executive Director Lou McLaughlin shared a video message with the school community. She congratulated Terakki on ten years of alignment with Eaquals standards and praised both the teaching staff and the school’s wider vision. The message was included as part of the event programme.

Foreign language teachers and administrators from both campuses also created a video. In it, they reflected on

their experiences with the accreditation journey. Their insights reinforced a sense of belonging and highlighted professional growth across the department.

A fun quiz about Eaquals formed part of the celebrations, sparking interest and helping raise awareness about the principles behind accreditation in K–12 schools.

This anniversary was more than a celebration—it was a recognition of excellence, collaboration, and sustained progress. The contribution of every department showed how impactful a shared commitment to quality can be.
